Grandparents Raising Grandchildren... Back on Duty is a weekly program offered Mondays starting back up again on Monday January 11th, 2010 from 9:30-11:30am a the Grayling Senior Center. This program is designed to inform and support grandparents who have a unique role as primary caregivers for their grandchildren. Enrollment is required.
Discussion on Assisted and Independent living a The Brook and the VA Benefit. On Thursday March 11th at 1pm The Brook is hosting a discussion where individuals may come with any questions, or to learn more about how Vetran Benefits can help with Assisted and Independent living.
Cake Walk to benefit the American Legion Auxiliary and the Grayling Senior Center will be held on March 18th from 12-2pm and 5-6pm. Why bake when you can win a cake for only $2 a try.
Hearing Clinic is held every third Monday of the month, from 1-4 pm. Dr. Ryan Hamilton, Au.D., CCC/A will be providing free basic hearing screening/testing and basic hearing aid cleaning. Appointments are required.
Bussin Beauties is scheduled for March 23rd. This is a trip out to Kirtland Community College's Cosmetology School for trip participants to get there some spa treatment. Cost for this trip is $10 and registration is required.
Foot Clinic is held on the fourth Thursday of the Month, for January the clinic is on January 26th from 1-5pm. Cost per visit is $20. While at the Foot Clinic the Nurse will trim and file toanails, lotion and massage feet, provide foot care tips, inspect feet for injury and circulation, and recommend physician care when needed. Easter Dinner will be held on March 25th from 4-6pm. We will be serving Baked Ham, Glazed Sweet Potatoes, Snap Peas, Pinapple and Carrot Cake. Cost is only a suggested donation of $2.50 for those 60 and over and a set cost of $5.25 for those under 60.
