The Crawford County Commission on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program is proud to announce it received a generous $10,000 grant from Huntington National Bank in July 2025. This meaningful investment reflects Huntington’s strong commitment to giving back and supporting vital community services that help older adults remain healthy, nourished, and connected.
As the need for Meals on Wheels continues to grow, the Commission on Aging continues to rely on Hometown Heroes, an important fundraising initiative that helps offset budget shortfalls while highlighting community support. Through this campaign, individuals, businesses, sports teams, civic organizations, churches, and clubs are invited to sponsor a full day of meals for $300. Sponsors may choose any day to honor a birthday, anniversary, memorial, or another meaningful milestone.
Each Hometown Hero will be publicly recognized across the Commission on Aging’s media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and the Crawford County Senior Gazette. This allows the COA to publicly acknowledge and celebrate generous donors, as well as the stories behind their chosen day. It’s a powerful way to give back while making a visible, lasting difference in the lives of local older adults.
Now is the perfect time to become a Hometown Hero and support the Crawford County Commission on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program.
